I felt honored & excited when the lovely people from Uptown Cheapskate reached out for a collaboration. If you haven’t heard or been to Uptown you really need to pick a day & expect to spend over an hour shifting through all of their apparel. A place you sell the things that have collected dust hanging in the back of your closet, yes I’m guilty of having clothes over 3 years old with price tags. In return you get cash on the spot or store credit & can shop away to find great pieces even name brand goodies, i.e my Manolos I snagged for less than $30.

This collaboration consisted of something I was very familiar with; finding an entire outfit on a small budget. I had an evening to pick out a full look..yep even shoes for less than $50! It almost felt like I was in an episode of The Look for Less lol.

Final look: Over sized sweater, a-line knitted skirt & the perfect rose gold heels to match. Challenge accepted & I killed it! I finished off the look with some playful socks I already had in my closet. Don’t worry, it was still under $50. I absolutely love how clean & crisp this look came out. The best part is they also make great pieces as seperates. The sweater can easily go with a pair of jeans & sneakers, the skirt with a high neck tee for a cute mod look & of course the heels can go with anything; jeans, skirts, pants you name it! Here’s some advice the next time you’re out shopping, buy timeless pieces you can wear all year round & don’t be afraid of thrift shops, you’d be surprise at what you can find & the amazing styles you can come up with all while on a budget.
